Congress Urges Calderón

Ninety-four members of the U.S. House of Representatives have signed a letter sent to Mexican President Felipe Calderón asking him make the elimination of violence against women a priority for his administration and take concrete steps towards solving the murders of over 400 women and girls Ciudad Júarez and Chihuahua, Mexico. Congresswoman Hilda Solis (D-CA), the original sponsor the 2006 House concurrent resolution addressing the murders of women in Júarez and Chihuahua, signed and circulated this letter.
