Influencing Candidates
What will it take for the United States to establish a humane and reasonable policy toward our neighbors to the South? How can we-as people concerned about Latin America, the nature of our foreign policy, and the impact that policy has on our own citizens-take steps to move our legislators in that direction? Here's an idea: Let's attempt to make US policy toward Latin America an issue in presidential and congressional campaigns, and seek to get commitments from possible future policymakers to move toward a change.
