International Day of Action for Asotrecol

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

About two weeks ago my co-worker Lisa sent you a message about how you can help protect workers’ rights in Colombia. Today, Asotrecol (the Association of Injured Workers and Ex-Workers of General Motors Colombia) has declared an international day of action.

It’s not too late to get involved and show your support for workers rights!

What can you do?

Write to your member of Congress and demand they stand against labor injustice in Colombia.

Directly support members of Asotrecol by signing their petition demanding due compensation and reintegration into GM.

We’ve also decided to show our solidarity through a social media blitz.  Let GM know how you feel about the mistreatment of their workers by posting on their Facebook page or by tweeting them @GM using the #shameonGM hashtag.

More than one year has passed since Asotrecol began camping out in front of the U.S. Embassy and they have not received an answer. Support their quest for justice by showing your solidarity today.
