The end of the year is fast approaching. And with it, greater urgency for the millions of immigrants at risk of losing status. The year may be wrapping up, but their battle is still in full swing. We must ACT NOW so these members of our communities can feel welcomed this holiday season, knowing that their neighbors support them and their right to live and work here.

There’s a lot going on this week. And we need all your help to amplify these efforts. Here’s your calendar to support immigrants and refugees across the United States:

Today, December 4th: Call for Central American children

Thousands of young refugees from El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala have applied or are protected under the Central American Minors (CAM) program. It was the only program that allowed children to apply for refugee status without having to leave their home countries and make the dangerous trek north. But, of course, this administration terminated it. And now the safety and futures of 7,000 children are at stake, as their pending applications may not be reviewed. DEMAND that the program be terminated responsibly, allowing all those who have already applied are guaranteed an interview to determine their asylum claim.
Dial 1-855- 472-8930 to connect with key members of the House of Representatives and Senate.

My name is ___. I am deeply troubled by the Trump Administration’s decision to end the resettlement program for Central American children (CAM-AOR). I am calling to urge Representative/Senator ___ to call the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and demand that they keep their promise to these vulnerable children and their parents. DHS must interview every child who has applied before they end this program.

Wednesday, December 6th: Call for Dreamers & TPSianos

Thousands are gathering in Washington, D.C. to demand a clean Dream Act and permanent residency for TPS holders.

Amplify this effort. CALL Congress!

The 800,000 Dreamers came to the U.S. as young kids and are American in every way. But following the end of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) this fall, over 10,000 youths have already lost status. And everyday Congress delays, more face deportation. DEMAND passage of a clean Dream Act that isn’t tied to increased funds for harmful and unnecessary border militarization!

Over 250,000 Hondurans and Salvadorans fled natural disasters, relocating here under Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Trump’s Administration has already ended protection for other countries, and now Honduras and El Salvador are on the chopping block. Yet many TPSianos have been here for decades, own businesses and homes, and raised U.S.-citizen children. DEMAND permanent residency for TPS beneficiaries.

Find your Representative and Senators. Enter your zipcode:

My name is ___. I am calling to ask Representative/Senator ___ to support bills that protect Dreamers and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) beneficiaries. The over 800,000 Dreamers and 250,000 TPS beneficiaries are integrated members of our society—they have families and own homes, hold jobs and attend school, and have contributed for years to our communities and economy. Specifically, I urge your boss to support a clean Dream Act 2017 (H.R. 3440 and S. 1615) and any number of the bills that provide legal status to TPS beneficiaries, such as ESPERAR Act of 2017 (H.R. 4184), American Promise Act of 2017 (H.R. 4253), ASPIRE TPS Act 2017 (H.R. 4384), or SECURE Act (S. 2144).
