Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a giving account established at a public charity. The 501(c)(3) public charity serves as a “sponsoring organization,” which manages and administers individual DAF accounts.
DAF accounts allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then recommend grants from the fund over time. Donors can contribute to the fund as frequently as they like, and then recommend grants to their favorite charitable organizations whenever it makes sense for them. This allows donors to give when they can, then grant when it’s needed.

Wills & Planned Giving
Your support for LAWGEF in your will can leave a lasting legacy for our campaigns to build just policies towards Latin America.
By will or trust:
“I bequeath __________ (dollar amount or percentage) to the Latin America Working Group Education Fund (LAWGEF) a not-for-profit located in Washington, DC, tax ID #11-3657128.”
By retirement plan:
- Request a beneficiary designation form from your account’s administrator.
- Designate Latin America Working Group Education Fund (LAWGEF) as a partial, contingent, or sole beneficiary of your account.
- Sign and return the form to your plan administrator; keep a copy for your files, and with your will.

Matching Gifts from Your Employer
You can double or triple your gift to LAWGEF if your employer offers a matching gift program. Contact your company’s human resources department to find out if it offers a matching gift program or to obtain an application.

We happily accept donations to LAWGEF of stock as a current contribution or a planned gift, both of which can have a tax benefit.
