Lauri works as a program assistant on Mexico, migrant rights, border issues, and also serves as our fundraising coordinator. She was born in the Dominican Republic (DR) and was raised in a bicultural and bilingual home which sparked her passion for Latin America. Throughout her youth, she traveled extensively in Central America and the Caribbean volunteering and interning in the DR and Costa Rica. She graduated from American University with an International Studies degree specializing in International Development with a minor in Spanish. Lauri was a 2018-2019 Princeton in Latin America fellow working in Guatemala. She brings to LAWG a passion and commitment to enhancing opportunities and empowering marginalized people everywhere.
