El lunes 27 de julio, las organizaciones Latin America Working Group (LAWG), Alianza Americas, Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC), Center for Gender & Refugee Studies (CGRS) y Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) desarrollaron un seminario virtual para abordar las actualizaciones de política migratoria en los Estados Unidos y su impacto en la región, dirigido a organizaciones de sociedad civil en México y Centroamérica. Los temas abordados fueron: TPS/DACA, detención y deportaciones durante Covid-19, expulsiones de solicitantes de asilo bajo orden de los CDC, situación de la niñez no acompañada, y nuevas políticas de asilo.

Monday July 27th, Latin America Working Group (LAWG), Alianza Americas, Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC), Center for Gender & Refugee Studies (CGRS) and Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) held a webinar to address immigration policy updates in the United States and their impact on the region, aimed at civil society organizations in Mexico and Central America. Topics covered were: TPS/DACA, detention and deportations during COVID-19, expulsions of asylum seekers under the CDC order, unaccomapnied children, and new asylum policies.
