One Year After Hurricanes Eta & Iota: Remaining Impacts in Central America

Two back-to-back hurricanes hit Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua one year ago in
November 2020. Hurricane Eta made landfall in Nicaragua as a category 4 hurricane on November 3rd,
bringing with it rainfall and high winds that contributed to flooding and landslides in Nicaragua,
Guatemala, and Honduras.
