LAWG joins 25+ organizations in a letter to the Mexican Government expressing our concern specifically for the actions of the INM last Wednesday, when they abandoned migrants and instructed them to return to their home countries even though Guatemala had a closed border. There have been numerous other cases in which migrants were transferred to the southern border of Mexico with no resources or guidance.
